Learn everything worth knowing about our institute in our short video.

Dear Visitor,

Thank you very much for visiting our website, which is full of information about the most gentle of procedures for the treatment of veins that are available worldwide.
Here, we show you the current state of the medical sciences and the therapeutic techniques that have thereby been derived. With our online questionnaire, we are available to you around the clock for free individual advice from a specialist.

If you wish, you can also reach us by telephone and can consult our assistants in detail without any obligation.

We are specialised in particularly gentle and scar-free procedures which allow you to be fit for work immediately.

We have carried out these procedures for many years and have accumulated a great deal of experience.

The treatments are performed in two modern clinics located in the heart of Munich, on either an in- or an out-patient basis - and gladly also before the weekend – while being executed under the highest of medical standards.
Our patients come from all of Europe and from overseas.

Please also note the new book from the director of our institute, Dr. med. Florian J. Netzer, "Das Venenbuch" ("Book on veins"), published by the Schluetersche Verlangshandlung, which deals with the current status of all modern processes for the treatment of veins and the most important venous illnesses, and for their prevention (see information further below).

We are happy to be available for you - please do not hesitate to contact us at any time in such a manner as is comfortable for you. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Privates Institut für Chirurgie München

Who are we?

We are a group of specialists in surgery, internal medicine, anaesthesia and their assistants, who have individually specialised very intensively in many different fields.

The director of the institute is Dr. med. Florian Netzer, a specialist in surgery, a member of the German Society of Phlebology and, since 1987, active in surgery and, from the beginning onward, especially concerned with the therapy of venous illnesses.

Dr. Netzer, the director of the institute, examines a patient.

At our institute, the catheter treatments are handled exclusively in surgical units demonstrating the highest of technical and personnel standards, to guarantee optimal patient safety and comfort.

We work exclusively with experienced specialists for anaesthesia and medical technical staff, even when the treatment is carried out under local anaesthesia.

We perform no treatment in so-called "interventional rooms" with only highly reduced demands on hygiene and technical equipment.
What distinguishes us from other institutes in Germany and Europe?

The combination of the methods and the number of treatments (and, along with it, the experience with the individual procedures and their combinations) distinguish us clearly from other institutes in Europe.

However, only at our institute are, among other things, such gentle and efficient methods combined at a single sitting: Radiofrequency technique (VNUS Closure®, spider vein laser, SVS - steam vein sclerosis, endoscopic removal of the truncal veins, microfoam treatment, etc.).

Our goal is to perform treatment with as few scars as possible, although both medically and aesthetically correct, so that our patients are able to work and participate in sports on the next day, and can refrain, as far as possible, from wearing compression stockings.

 About us and our procedures
  • At our special institute, we have worked since 1992 using the most gentle of methods for the treatment of venous illnesses and associated diseases.
  • We are thereby specialised in an individual, tailor-made therapy, so that, if possible, our patients can again begin with their normal occupation and participate in sports on the next day. They should also have no scars and, as far as possible, can refrain from wearing compression stockings.
  • In contrast to conventional procedures and the otherwise usual application of modern processes in other clinics, our patients do not, as a rule, have to wear compression stockings or - depending on the individual case – only for a maximum of a few days.
  • Our therapy combines the advantages of different procedures, such as radiofrequency, the laser, endoscopy and microfoam sclerosation, the SVS steam vein catheter sclerosis method, so that, both from a medical as well as from an aesthetic viewpoint, optimal results can be achieved.
  • All our therapeutic methods have been investigated and determined to be recommendable in independent, intensive scientific studies. They have therefore been found to be recognised and recommended by the relevant specialist societies, such as, for example, the German Society of Phlebology.
  Our philosophy
  • Finding the individual optimal treatment for the specific case and thereby combining all significant and medically/scientifically well-founded methods, if necessary, so that the patient obtains the greatest possible medical and aesthetic advantages while suffering from as few impairments as possible
  • Therefore: No standard therapy for all cases immediately, but instead, customized individual treatment, since our patients are each, individually different

Where can I get even more information about the treatments and the costs?
  • For further questions, we are available to you day and night via
  • e-mail and, always glad to help you during office hours (see below)!

What does one have to do if they want to be treated by us?
  • Contact us by telephone or the e-mail of our office in Munich and let us advise you: There, someone will gladly explain everything to you and, if desired, will then schedule an appointment for an examination and consultation, or immediately arrange a combination of this along with the therapy in a scheduled block
